I studied abroad in Barcelona, Spain. So this post may be biased as I have a weakness for all things Spanish. But it's also good because I'm very critical and snobbish in regards to Spanish food and drink - I've been there and chances are I've had it better there. That aside, I was thoroughly pleased with Ramblas Tapas, located in the Mission. The food was authentic and they had the staples like patatas bravas and fried calamari. We didn't get to try paella but based off how good the tapas are, I'm determined to go back and try it. And my most favorite moment ever - discovering they had CLARA!!!!!!!! A typically Spanish drink is mixing regular cerveza with lemon Fanta to create a lemony beer. Pretty easy to DIY, if you can get a hold of a lemon Fanta.
All in all, a delicious and unique restaurant option in SF.
